Our mission is to deliver mental health services prioritizing decolonized, compassionate, and trauma-informed care. We are driven by professionalism, faith, integrity, and excellence to ensure every individual receives the highest quality of care they deserve.
Our vision is to create an oasis of healing rooted in compassion, faith, and cultural humility, fostering resilience and transformation for individuals. We strive to empower clients to cultivate inner strength, find purpose, and experience love in their journey toward wholeness. We provide psychoeducation and public health training as we advocate for a world where mental health is destigmatized, disparities are eradicated, and all are valued and supported in their quest for mental wellness.
We value decolonization, equity, diversity, and inclusivity. Our therapists understand the unique challenges faced by marginalized communities such as Blacks, new Canadians, and immigrants, and are committed to achieving cultural awareness and competence to provide appropriate care.
I am Titilola Omotosho, thrilled to share my journey and work with you. I am a Yoruba woman born in Nigeria, West Africa, who now calls Toronto home. I am a registered Psychotherapist, an educator, and a global health specialist. With over 20 years of clinical practice, I have dedicated my career to providing compassionate, evidence-based support to individuals, couples, groups, and families.
In July 2020, I launched the Godlycounsel Initiative to offer free mental health counselling to those in need, especially during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. I am passionately committed to uplifting collective well-being, healing intergenerational trauma, and embracing family-centered approaches. I believe in challenging capitalism by addressing economic barriers and resisting individualistic, achievement-focused therapy models. I aim to enhance survival rates and well-being through an integrative, anti-oppression, and trauma-informed treatment approach. I truly believe that looking at mental health from a holistic perspective is crucial for achieving the best outcomes.
I have an extraordinary passion for supporting maternal mental health and helping individuals cope with chronic illnesses, anxiety, depression, and racial trauma. Education, health equity, and awareness are the cornerstones of my mission, inspiring me to lead workshops and community outreach programs that empower individuals and dismantle the stigma surrounding mental wellness. I also enjoy mentoring aspiring mental health professionals as they embark on their journeys.
At the Godlycounsel Mental Wellness Clinic, my incredible team and I are dedicated to supporting you on your path to mental wellness.
This includes media interviews, workshops, consultation, advocacy and an ERG (Employee Resource Group). Together, we explore industry issues with the hopes of leaving a mark on the entire therapy profession.
