Titilola Omotosho is a highly experienced educator, mental health therapist, and global health specialist with a remarkable track record spanning over 20 years in the mental health field. Titilola has dedicated her career to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals, couples, and families. Her area of expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of therapeutic modalities, and she employs an integrated approach in her professional practice.
Titilola holds a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ibadan and is pursuing a PhD in Social Justice/Global Health at the University of Toronto. Titilola has obtained professional certifications in Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy, DBT, and Food and Mental Health. Her robust academic foundation and extensive clinical training and work experiences in Hospitals, Educational Institutions and Immigrant organizations have endowed her with a deep comprehension of human behaviour and the complexities of mental health.
Driven by a passion for holistic and inclusive care to decolonize mental healthcare, Titilola established Godlycounsel Mental Wellness Clinic. Her primary objective was to establish a secure and nurturing environment that would enable clients to access the support, healing, and personal growth they need. A proponent of cultural humility and lifelong learning, Titilola’s passion lies in supporting Black mothers’ mental health and providing chronic illness therapy. She is an expert in navigating anxiety, depression, grief, mood disorders, relationship challenges, and racial trauma, and her guidance leads to resilience and growth. You can count on her unwavering dedication to your mental health journey.
Titilola advocates for health equity, social justice, mental health awareness, and education. She frequently conducts workshops, seminars, and community outreach programs aimed at reducing stigma and promoting mental wellness. Her contributions to the field have been recognized through numerous awards and accolades, reflecting her dedication to advancing mental health care.
Beyond her clinical work, Titilola is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario Postpartum Support International, the International Psycho-oncology Society (IPOS) and the Counselling Association of Nigeria. She also serves as a mentor for emerging mental health professionals, sharing her knowledge and guiding the next generation of mental health professionals.
